Maple Close Prayer Group: A Happy Band of Pilgrims

The relatively newly established prayer group in Maple Close describe themselves as "a very happy band of pilgrims".  Having been going for about two years, they meet at 9am every Tuesday morning at one of two addresses in Maple Close for a friendly informal service of Morning Prayer.  The service comprises a short liturgy, with people taking turns to read a canticle or reading, and there is a time of open prayer where concerns for the world and our community, and everything in-between are brought before God.  Once a month the service is one of Holy Communion, led by Pat Milner, a member of the Home Communion team.

Afterwards a time of fellowship is enjoyed by all over a cup of tea or coffee.  The group is very supportive of one another, and a special bond of friendship has sprung up amongst them.  Currently comprising six members, they would love to expand, and would welcome with open arms anyone who would like to join them.
