Youth Church - 1st, 3rd, 4th Sundays and 2nd Saturdays 5.30-7pm at the Rectory
Our Youth Church continues to meet regularly on Sundays evenings except for the second week of the month when it is on a Saturday. At present we have 12 members- although normally 9 or 10 turn up on any given Saturday- all of secondary school age. We would welcome others. The aim is to be a form of church that makes sense for us with fellowship, discussion, bible reading and prayer- not to mention games, pizza and doughnuts!
It’s a safe place to admit to being a Christian – which some of our youngsters really appreciate because they do not have much fun with that in school! We have also started to play an occasional part in the life and worship of the mainstream church which currently funds our expensive carbohydrate habit- and talk about what church should be. Watch this space. Its changing all the time! The youth are still thinking about what they want to put on the website, and one day we might even find a name for our youth church!
