Braunston Community Car

In 2013 Reverend Sarah and Abigail Campbell launched the Braunston Community Car Scheme, offering transport for village residents who have reduced mobility or who do not have their own private transport. Operated by a rota of volunteer drivers, the car is available for travel both within the village (e.g. short journeys to visit friends, attend events, or do some shopping) as well as a little further afield for health and wellbeing purposes (e.g. to attend hospital, doctor and dentist appointments).

The car is driven by trained volunteer drivers who all live in Braunston, and there is no set charge - all we ask is for a donation towards the running costs as the scheme relies solely on donations to operate the car.
