God’s Kingdom is all about justice. Sadly, while Jesus has started it, it is far from complete and there is much that is unjust, corrupt, immoral and ungodly about society today. We think that the church should engage appropriately on the side of the oppressed and those who are done an injustice.  We can do this together by supporting causes that work for a better society- Christians against Poverty, Street Pastors, Foodbank and so on- but it may be that some of us are called to individual action beyond these walls, maybe even beyond these shores and we think the church should be praying for and otherwise supporting our Christians who are called to more active roles in social justice.

For this year our plan is to learn what you feel called to, support an initiative or two with money and practical donations and build up the relationships with government and other bodies so that we earn the right to raise our voice on behalf of those in our communities who are trodden on by the system. If you don’t believe we need to do these ask Rev Sarah how many hours she has put in on this kind of representation in the last year or two!
