Heritage Lottery Fund Development Project May 2015

Good news! We have been advised by phone that our Second Round Submission has been approved by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). The official letter should have arrived by the time you read this.

The next hurdle to clear is submission of the HLF Permission to Start Form with its associated documents. But, in the meantime, we are in discussion with our architect and contractor on when we can get started with the work on site.

Before the next issue of the BVN you should see scaffolding going up around the church so we are now on the final lap of this current project. The HLF approval also allows us to start finalising all the associated activities such as church guide sheets, PowerPoint presentation, Area Information Boards, 360 degree video of church interior etc.

Further good news is that we have been awarded a grant of £2,500 towards our restoration costs by the Francis Coales Charitable Foundation. This is a charity which supports work on churches in Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.
