Frequently Asked Questions

IS IT OK IF I COME TO YOUR CHURCH?

This question is often followed by something like "I've got a baby and I'm not married" or "I'm gay" or "I'm a Roman Catholic" or "I haven't got a suit" or any number of variations on a theme. The answer is Yes. It is more than OK. We’d love to see you. Jesus didn't turn anyone away no matter who they were, where they came from or what they had done. God loves everyone the same - he might not love what we do all the time but he won't turn you away if you are looking for His peace and a new way forward and neither will we.

CAN I GET MARRIED AT BRAUNSTON?

It can be complicated. If in doubt contact the vicar who will talk you through it. Or click for further information on qualifying connections (as the jargon calls it!)

MY GREAT GRANDPARENTS WERE BURIED AT BRAUNSTON. HOW CAN I FIND THEIR GRAVES?

The first step is to contact us. You will need to give us a few days to do some digging (oops, not literally!) in our registers and then to tally up the information with our plan of the graveyard so that we can send you a plan with the exact location on it if we have the information. Don't come to look on spec because you may well not find anyone who can help on the day without notice! If your request is very complicated and time consuming we may make a small administrative charge.
