There's always more to learn

CHARLES:

Charles DunnThe place to start is in growing discipleship. That is my discipleship, and yours. We all have different gifts and abilities but as the baptised we are all called to use them in his service. For that we need to deepen our knowledge and Love of God and our Saviour, be at ease in our faith, pray together, study together and work together for His Kingdom serving God and his people.

We are all at different stages in our journey of faith but there is always more to learn and so this is a task for every one of us from the Little Fishers and babes in arms, to those who have been coming to church for a hundred years and everyone in the middle!

As you will see from our Five year plan below we intend to “Increase active discipleship amongst church members through teaching and learning, witnessing to lives changed by discipleship and working towards “every member ministry”

So what does that mean for this coming year? Well as you can see we are going to run four, six week bible study courses during the year. We hope that at least half of our congregation will attend at least one course. The topics are decided we’re just working on the dates and we’ll be letting you have the whole year’s programme in the next few weeks so you can get them in your diary.

We will establish at least four active prayer/study/home groups which again, we hope many of you will join. We have already got one group underway in the village and for those of you who live in Daventry, John and Rene Stevenson will be starting one there. If you are interested in joining or leading such a group please let us know.
